What Is Snapchat Spotlight?

Spotlight is Snapchat's home for short public videos, similar to TikTok or Reels. Creators post Spotlight clips to reach people far beyond their friend list, and the most popular ones can earn money through Snapchat's creator rewards.

Because Spotlight clips live on public profiles, a Spotlight downloader can fetch them just like stories. If you want the account's disappearing content instead, use our Snapchat story downloader.

Spotlight Video Quality and Format

What file do you get?

Spotlight clips download as MP4 video files in the original quality Snapchat published, usually vertical 1080p. Nothing is re-encoded on our side and no watermark is added: you get the exact file the creator uploaded to their public profile.

What a Spotlight Downloader Cannot Do. Honesty first. This tool only works with public Spotlight clips on public profiles. It cannot download Spotlight videos from private accounts, removed clips, or content Snapchat has restricted by region or age. Any site that promises otherwise is not telling the truth.
